About Our Sanitation Service Company

The Outhouse started in 1993 by Joy and Rich Peek. Starting as a part time business venture with 12 fiberglass toilets and one homemade service truck, the company grew in the first year to 100 units. In 1996, The Outhouse added a second larger truck capable of pumping septics and added this service to our business. In 2003, the addition of office and storage containers helped with customer requests to be a one stop shop for portable toilets and office and storage containers. Between 2005 and 2006, the purchase of two smaller companies in our service area was made to expand our inventory and increase our customer base. Also in 2006, we started our comfort elite trailer line offering restroom trailers for weddings and corporate events. We continue to be the leader in portable sanitation in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois and are determined to meet all of our consumers needs.
